Patrick is left paralysed and apparently helpless. Although he is regarded as a vegetable by most of the hospital staff who would rather ‘switch him off’, one nurse becomes interested in his case and forms a bizarre friendship with him. This develops into a nightmarish dependence as Patrick unleashes telepathic powers that reach beyond the confines of his hospital bed. A spine-chiller which, like all good sci-fi, keeps you believing by cleverly meshing the possible with the fantastic.
