Location: ICA, London

Description: Reel Solutions is delighted to be screening this new film from Catalonia at the ICA on 4 June.
Noam Chomsky said that the world should know about the ordeal of Èric Bertran. In the autumn of 2004, at the age of fourteen, Èric created a website inspired by Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix to defend the Catalan language. One night, thirty federal officers from the anti-terrorist unit in Madrid burst into his house and accused him of cyber-terrorism. His crime? Sending an email to a chain of supermarkets in Catalonia requesting the labeling of their products in Catalan. His struggle and that of his family is a sad and recent example of human rights’ violations and also of the vulnerability that small cultures without state can have.
