Professional Development Opportunities

logo

CapeUK has a range of professional development opportunities available to you from September to the end of 2016 and all the details are available on our Events Programme which you can download here now.

Here’s a taster of some of the activities you can sign up to now…

Following on from our successful Quality Principles support programme we’re now offering a new programme giving you space to explore and change the way you approach diversity in your organisation/work. This is a great new opportunity to work with a group of peers to identify an area of your current practice to explore diversity, get expert support and share your experiences and learning.

If you’re intending to apply to be part of Arts Council England’s 2018-2022 National Portfolio and want to include work with, by and for children and young people then this session is for you. This workshop will include information, support and guidance to help you plan and demonstrate how you will deliver against ACE’s Goal 5.

Our ‘Getting to Grips with the Quality Principles’ structured support programme is proving so successful that the next group starting in September is fully booked so we’ve added in an extra group beginning in December. If you want to find out more about how it works then you can read Sophie Hunter’s blog about the programme which includes some of the great feedback we’ve had from those who’ve taken part already.

Arts Award Adviser training will be available throughout the Autumn at all levels from Discover through to Gold. Advisers are key to the success of children and young people taking Arts Award – supporting them to work towards their awards, providing guidance and assessing their work.

The Rumour Mill Campaign

The Rumour Mill

The cheerfully outspoken staff at John Smedley’s factory have been brought together to discuss the future of energy in this candid, humorous and thought provoking film, brought to life with the tactile beauty of stop-motion animation.

The campaign is for a stunning animation film called The Rumour Mill, it is a film that will not only be entertaining but also hopefully go along way to highlighting the fact that the general public, along with art and film can make a difference to the debates that are usually politically driven.

It’s in a Mr Bean-style comedy role where he doesn’t utter a word.

Mike Taylor, of the Projected Picture Trust, rescued the reels from a friend’s house after a fire and handed them to Reel Solutions, based at Dean Clough, Halifax, one of the biggest private archives in the country.
