ABOUT MY WEEK WITH MARILYN
Michelle Williams shines in her multi award nominated performance as Marilyn Monroe. The story is based on real events surrounding Marilyn’s visit to the UK to film The Prince and the Showgirl and a dreamy fling she had with a young assistant (played by Eddie Redmayne, last seen in the BBC’s adaptation of Birdsong). The British landscape has never looked better and with a stella British supporting cast including Judi Dench and Kenneth Brannagh who plays Laurence Olivier to hammy perfection, My Week with Marilyn is set to be the new King’s Speech.
PRESS FOR MY WEEK WITH MARILYN
‘Williams, lambent as ever, ably conveys the tension between Monroe’s eyelid-fluttering public persona and the damaged woman behind it.’ Robbie Collin, Daily Telegraph
‘My Week With Marilyn is light fare: it doesn’t pretend to offer any great insight, but it offers a great deal of pleasure and fun…’ Peter Bradshaw, Guardian
‘At moments hilarious and others touching, it’s a sweet, slight affair, more pretty pageant than pithy biographical drama.’ Angie Errigo, Empire Magazine
TICKETS are £5 and can be purchased on the door at each venue half an hour before the film starts or in advance from
